Dusenga: Nsenga Doula Services/Dusenga Birth Collective
The Mission of Dusenga Birth Collective is to increase positive birth experiences by increasing rates of live births and improving communication to reduce maternal mortality. We come together as a collective of Birth workers, women, and physicians who address the needs of women in the sacred space of birth.
We welcome you to explore our spirit to see if it connects and vibes with yours. If so choose one of our doula service providers, midwives, or physicians to assist in your birth. While we specialize in doula work, we are connected to a powerful network of Birth workers who are committed to increasing success in live births and alive healthy mothers. While we are open to all women our primary work is in service of African American women’s health and equity.

What is a Doula?
A doula is a professional labor assistant who provides physical, and emotional support to you and your partner during pregnancy. A doula can also provide support for another person through significant health-related experiences including childbirth, miscarriage, induced abortion, stillbirth, or non-reproductive experiences such as dying.
Attention to physical mental, emotional and spiritual comfort is provided through techniques such as touch, massage, and breathing. An African spiritually-based birth worker may also provide prayer, spiritual work, and ancestral welcoming rituals.
Each group apart of Dusenga Birth Collective provides a unique perspective and service to their clients. Explore our listings and locations of service to book an exploratory session.
The Nsenga Birthing and Doula Services provide professional advocacy and treatment resources on challenges and success with birth.
